It is important to wear loose fitting comfortable clothing, be well hydrated, and have something to eat before each treatment. Chiropractic adjustments, massage, or strenuous physical activity should be avoided for 6 hours after a treatment. Please bring the packet of information (emailed, snailmailed, or downloaded from the website) and any medications you are taking, to the first visit. We will review the information, I will do an assessment – look at your tongue, take your pulse, muscle test using kinesiology as needed, and then together we will decide on appropriate treatment.
If it is Acupuncture, you will assume a comfortable position on the treatment table and I will insert fine, flexible needles into chosen points, then you will relax for 15 minutes and I will return and remove the needles. The course of treatment varies depending on length of time the symptoms/cause have been present, the reaction to the treatment, and the length of time between treatments.
If we do NAET you will hold a glass jar containing a vial that has the energy of the allergen in it, while I tap along your spine, activating the spinal nerves that communicate between brain and body, and stimulate specific acupuncture points on your body. Then you will relax for 15 minutes, and I will muscle test again to confirm the treatment was successful. After the treatment you must avoid the allergen for 24 hours to allow the meridians to receive the information that the allergen has been cleared. Some people experience fatigue, irritability, mood swings, or other
physical or psychological symptoms during this time. Usually only one treatment for each allergen is needed but occasionally multiple treatments are required. Once the treatment is successful it is permanent but it can be lost in cases of sudden shock, illness, or physical/emotional trauma.
